date: november 2024 The Glasgow Botanic Gardens are one of my favourite places to go in the Westend of Glasgow as I have been going here from a very young age. No matter the season I think it is always a great thing to do if you're looking for a free activity in Glasgow. During parts of October and November it is used for the Halloween trail 'GlasGLOW' which costs money to do, but apart from that it is completely free. The gardens have both outdoor and indoor parts meaning it is open all year round and great to visit throughout the seasons. Personally, I think that the Botanic Gardens are the perfect place to go if you’re looking for a completely free day out as well as something a bit different than anything else you would find around Glasgow. Whilst you can visit all year round, my favourite time to visit is on a warm summers day when you can sit on benches or on the grass.
