📍one under mini golf (2)

Image
date: 2nd november 2024 One under mini golf is located in merchant city and has 2 mini golf courses (one carnival themed and the other Las Vegas themed), a cocktail bar, photo booth, pool table and a car racing game. It’s just over a 5 minute walk from Argyle Street and High Street train stations so very easily accessible by public transport.    We paid £20 to get a cocktail and play both courses however this was the price for students (General Price for an adult ticket is £23). This is just  slightly  cheaper than another mini golf location in Glasgow (Jungle Rumble) who offer the same package for £21. One under also offer a package that includes both courses and a car racing game for £21 (student price). After the free cocktail we got with our package, we paid £8.50 per cocktail, which is similar to anywhere else that serves cocktails in Glasgow. The cocktails were all golf themed and tasted great. We also tried the frozen cocktail of the week which was really...

📍glasgow botanic gardens (1)

Image
date: november 2024 The Glasgow Botanic Gardens are one of my favourite places to go in the Westend of Glasgow as I have been going here from a very young age. No matter the season I think it is always a great thing to do if you're looking for a free activity in Glasgow. During parts of October and November it is used for the Halloween trail 'GlasGLOW' which costs money to do, but apart from that it is completely free. The gardens have both outdoor and indoor parts meaning it is open all year round and great to visit throughout the seasons. Personally, I think that the Botanic Gardens are the perfect place to go if you’re looking for a completely free day out as well as something a bit different than anything else you would find around Glasgow. Whilst you can visit all year round, my favourite time to visit is on a warm summers day when you can sit on benches or on the grass. I also enjoy going in early autumn and walking around many of the paths and trails around the ga...

📍la vita spuntini (4)

Image
date: 29 may 2024   La vita is one of my favourite restaurants, with many locations across Glasgow. My personal favourite is La Vita Spuntini on Byers Road. Spuntini means 'small plates' or 'sharing dishes' meaning the restaurant offers smaller portions that are intended to be shared between a couple or a few people.  The restaurant is without a doubt one of the best Italians I have tried in Glasgow and the food has never disappointed. I have tried their pasta, pizza, seafood, soup, starters and all have been amazing. As well as the exceptional food, the cocktails are a must try. My favourite is by far a frozen strawberry daquiri. La vita also offers half pizza half pasta which is perfect for when you can’t decide between the two.    When it comes to atmosphere, I have never been in La Vita and considered it ‘quiet’ as there’s always several groups of people. The décor is stunning, with pink flowers and fairy lights dotted about the restaurant, making it look p...

📍kong bar and roof garden (3)

Image
date: tuesday 8 october 2024 Kong bar and roof garden is a relatively new cocktail bar in the city centre of Glasgow. It has a stunning, modern interior, reasonable prices and is the perfect spot for a night out with friends or a date night. It is roughly a 5 minute walk from both Glasgow queen street and Glasgow central train stations, making it easily accessible for students who live in or around Glasgow.   Kong’s prices definitely depend on when you go. At peak times, the prices are similar to many other cocktail bars in Glasgow, with the classics such as mojitos, margaritas and martinis being priced at about £10. Although this may seem like a lot, the cocktails are beautifully presented, and it is difficult to find cheaper prices for similar quality cocktails anywhere else in the city centre. During the week (Monday-Thursday), Kong offer specific cocktails for low prices. You can get drinks such as passionfruit martinis, watermelon margaritas and cosmopolitans for as litt...

📍miller and Carter glasgow (5)

Image
date: 8 october 2024 Miller and carter is a chain steakhouse with many restaurants all over the United Kingdom. The Glasgow restaurant is located on St Vincent Street and is in a great location, right off of Buchanan Street. The atmosphere and interior in the restaurant are amazing as it was converted from an old post office.   Price wise, if you’re looking for somewhere cheap and chill, this probably isn’t the place for you but if you are wanting a nice, fancy dinner and are a lover of steak I would highly recommend. It would be perfect for a special occasion such as a celebratory dinner or birthday, or even a date night where you want to spend that little bit extra. We paid £120 for 2 mains (which included a steak, onion loaf, lettuce wedge, side and a dipping sauce), 2 starters, and 3 cocktails. This may seem like a lot but in my opinion, miller and carter is one of the best when it comes to steak, and the experience really makes it worth the price.   The food really is ama...
